TREB / OMDREB Data Swap is now live

Official Release

Toronto, April 8, 2019The Oakville, Milton and District Real Estate Board (OMDREB) and the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) have been working together toward an arrangement that will expand data access for their respective Members.

This initiative resulted in an OMDREB-TREB agreement to swap MLS System data for properties located within the municipal boundaries of Oakville, Milton, and Halton Hills as listed by Members of either Board.

The data swap went live on April 16, 2019, with the Membership of both Boards notified via their respective MLS Systems, email and/or social media channels.

“This agreement is great for TREB Members and OMDREB Members, as both groups are very active in the contiguous markets of Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills. Increased access to listing data will allow for a more efficient marketplace within which Member REALTORS from both Boards will be able to provide accurate and timely information to clients as they produce comparative market analyses, price homes for sale and prepare offers. TREB Members look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with OMDREB Members that will act as a template for future relationships with other Boards and Associations,” said TREB President Gurcharan (Garry) Bhaura.

“This is fantastic news for the Members of both The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) and The Oakville Milton & District Real Estate Board (OMDREB). The Data Swap Agreement is vital, especially to the best interests of our clients,” said OMDREB President Oliver Matas. “I have been advocating for this for many years with the hope of more Real Estate Boards doing similar agreements like this. A big thank you to our TREB Partners who worked diligently with us to get this done.”
