CREA’s REALTOR® Cooperation Policy Is Now In Effect

Today, January 3, 2024, the CREA REALTOR Cooperation Policy comes into force, putting into effect the new “Duty of Cooperation” in Article 30 of the REALTOR Code.

Under the policy, REALTORS are required to place their property listings on an MLS System within three (3) days of public marketing, unless an exemption applies. The policy also requires REALTORS to inform their seller clients of the benefits of marketing their listing on an MLSSystem – and, if the seller decides to forego this option, that they confirm the decision in writing using the REALTOR Cooperation Disclosure and Consent form.
